We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. A new sermon series will be introduced – Money Can’t Buy and the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be served.
This Sunday we recognize the 500th year since Martin Luther presented his 95 theses, which began the reformation of the church. Five centuries on is an exciting time to reflect on what we bring forward from the past that strengthens us and future generations for the coming 500 years of ministry of the gospel of Christ. (excerpt from Commemorate Reformation 500, Presbyterian Mission Agency.)
We also celebrate the 210th Anniversary of Calvary Church as an established congregation.
Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon Money Can’t Buy: We Know.
We know because God is God, because steadfast love is steadfast love, because Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and always – we can place our trust, our assurance, our confidence in God, and not in earthly things, not in temporary stuff. There’s a difference between being possessed by possessions and using our possessions for God and good.
Following the service, please join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for coffee and fellowship.
