All are welcome to join us Sunday, November 20, for a Grateful Hearts Breakfast followed by a celebration of Christ the King Sunday.
Christ the King Sunday is observed by many Christian churches and takes place on the final liturgical Sunday before the Advent Season.
It emphasizes theologically and biblically the title of Jesus as King, which is based on several passages of Scripture. White is the color for Christ the King Sunday because it is a celebration of the Lordship of Christ.
The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and The Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon “Why the Hurt?”
If God’s sovereign and Christ reigns, then why?
The Chancel Choir will lead the music and we will have a special performance by our Children’s Choir.
At 9:30 a.m., our regular Sunday education programs will be replaced as we join together for a Grateful Hearts Breakfast.
During this Thanksgiving continental breakfast we will collectively recall God’s blessings in our lives as we enjoy the company of one another. Be thinking now of a friend or family member that you would like to gift with your crafted blessing box.
Please join us in a peaceful and pleasant celebration of all of God’s goodness.
