The Session has called for the annual congregational meeting on Sunday, January 28, 9:30 a.m. in the church dining room for the purpose of receiving the annual budget and the annual financial reports of the church; reports of the activities of its organizations; reviewing the terms of call and adequacy of compensation of the pastor; approving the terms of call; and reviewing congregational meeting minutes previously approved by the session. No matter what two football teams make it to the real Super Bowl, we should all be cheering for Souper Bowl Sunday with our financial contributions. On that day watch for our youthful missionaries with soup pots ready to receive your contributions at the exits from the sanctuary following the service. This is truly a local mission since 100% of all donations benefit Indiana County Community Action Program (ICCAP) to be used for replenishment of the food pantry shelves for distribution throughout Indiana County.Find out more »
The Calvary youth group along with their many supporters will host the annual Bella Notte fundraising dinner. Ash Wednesday is the entry point for Lenten preparation. It is a service rich in ritual and symbolism. Participants on Ash Wednesday come forward for a minister to mark their foreheads with the sign of the cross in ashes. Disciples are reminded of their mortality and, when combined with the sign of the cross, they are also reminded of the hope of the resurrection.

Join us in the Calvary Dining Room to hear our Choral Scholars, Kayla, Arlene, Michael, and Jay tell us about their travels last summer. They will share stories of their auditioned advanced summer programs in Italy and Austria, show us pictures and sing songs they learned there. A six-week adult education class will seek to help us use the days of Lent to grow in our discipleship as followers of Christ. The class will use the Scriptures and the book, Being Disciples: Essentials of the Christian Life by Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury.
Rev. Richard Cassel will facilitate the class, which will be held in the Dining Room.
