Fathers of Hope Prayer Service
On Friday, June 16, at 7:00 p.m. Calvary will hold a Father’s Day Prayer Service in conjunction with the Alice Paul House. This service will be a time of prayer, of awareness, and of making a covenant with our community and our God to do the
work of ending domestic violence. This service will also focus on the impact that fathers can have on prevention and on healing. Too often, we see domestic violence as only a women’s issue. Violence has no gender and neither does the love and hope that will overcome it.
Domestic Violence 101 Focus Group/Panel Discussion
Calvary will be hosting presenters from Alice Paul House on Tuesday, June 13 at 6:00 p.m. in the Church Dining Room. This will be the kickoff of an educational campaign aimed at raising awareness and empowering communities as we work to end domestic violence. This first session will be a focus group discussion facilitated by Alice Paul House staff followed by a panel discussion. This is a chance to ask any questions and to get information on issues related to domestic violence.
