This Sunday, the second in Easter, our worship at 11:00 a.m. we will be exploring God’s call and how we respond.
Rev. Art Seaman will deliver the sermon There’s Always Someone based on reading from Jonah 1:1-6; John 20: 24-31.
We all know the story of Jonah and the Whale. But why was Jonah fish food? We also know about Doubting Thomas who is forever remembered as the guy who said “Have to see it with my own eyes.” These two historic figures are reminders that God sometimes calls and not everyone responds appropriately. The sermon will explore these two famous stories as a means to understand our own relationship with doubt and disobedience.
Art. Seaman is a retired Presbyterian minister. He and his wife Mary spend much time traveling. In a few weeks they will make a trip to the Promised Land. Their ten-day trip will include stays in Edinburgh, St. Andrews and Inverness.
Rev. Richard Cassel will preside for the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
