This Sunday, the second Sunday during the Season Advent, we invite you to join us for a beautiful and peaceful service led with a selection of lessons and carols.
The service is adapted for Advent from the annual service held Christmas Eve in the Chapel of King’s College, Cambridge University, England. Begun in 1918, the service has been enjoyed there every year to the present day and has developed into a service repeated in cathedrals and churches throughout the world. Through a sequence of scripture readings, hymns, and anthems, the great story of God’s loving purposes unfolds.
Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the homily Busyness & Bethlehem: People.
The mission of the church is to be a community: to care for people, to love people, to welcome people, to proclaim with bold confidence that people matter more than anything else. The mission of the church is about people, where we affirm the dignity and value of each person. We have seen what God is like and his name is Jesus. And Jesus shows us that the best way for us to love God is to love God’s children.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday and invite you to join us for fellowship and coffee following the service.
