This Sunday’s worship service resumes the sermon series At the Table. We focus on how some of Jesus’ best stories are about being at the table. There are the stories of the loaves and fish, bread and wine, Mary and Martha, tax collectors and Pharisees.
Throughout the Gospels, it seems Jesus was either going to or coming from a meal table. In this sermon series, we will consider together the lessons we learn at the table with Jesus.
Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon At the Table: Being Seen based on Luke 19:1–10, the story of Jesus and Zacchaeus, the tax collector.
Noticing. Seeing. Hearing. It’s the small things, the people things, the loving things. That’s what it looks like to wait for salvation. Isn’t it? In a world broken like ours, it may seem small, but it matters. And that’s what Jesus did, isn’t it?!?
Following the service, we invite all to join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for fellowship and refreshments.
See you on Sunday!
