The months of November and December can feel so hurried and full! Carve out some time this year to spend with your church family intentionally pausing to reflect on the people and things that you love and for which you feel grateful on Sunday, November 18.
We begin the morning with the Grateful Hearts Breakfast at 9:30 in the dining room. This special breakfast has become a tradition of good food, craft-making and community with an emphasis on expressing our thanks to God together.
At 11:00 a.m. we will join together in worship with readings, prayer, song and the sermon Thank you, Jesus based on readings from Luke 17:11-19.
We find here in the Gospel of Luke that ten lepers have faith enough to ask Jesus to heal them, which he does. They were all healed, but only one is saved — the one that turns around to say, “Thank you, Jesus.” What is it about gratitude that saves us?
The Rev. David J. Hanna will be preaching.
We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style, but always contemporary in spirit, friendly, relaxed, and graciously welcoming. The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s sermon and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
Following the service we welcome all to join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for refreshments and fellowship.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
