We look forward to worshipping with you this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. We will hear the final sermon in the series Time along with the fine musical contributions from our Chancel Choir.
Seminarian Ben Fitzgerald-Fye will deliver the sermon Time: Perspective.
Jesus healing others is a pretty common event in Scripture and giving sight to the blind is also not uncommon. In Mark’s Gospel; however, blindness is used as a metaphor for spiritual blindness. Mark may be using it as a critique of the disciples themselves and their “not getting it.” What about us? What about our spiritual blindness? Jesus healing our blindness is a gift of new, faithful, perspective…a new way of seeing the world around us. Faith cures our blindness.
Following the service, please join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for coffee and fellowship.
