This Sunday, January 28, we hold our annual congregational meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the dining room followed by worship at 11:00 a.m.
Details of the agenda for the annual meeting are included at the bottom of this article. You won’t want to miss the hot breakfast that will be served to all attendees.
Worship will include musical contributions from the Chancel Choir and the final sermon in the series Life Together.
The Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon Life Together: Do I Belong?
In Mark’s Gospel, Jesus collects disciples together, and the group that ends up following him is a ragtag group of unlike and unlikeliest people. The disciples and the others following Jesus must each have wondered at some point “Do I really belong to this group?” The disciples belonged because they belonged to Jesus. They learned to love because of the way Jesus loved. They all had a place with Jesus. And what about us? Do we belong?
We invite you to join us following the service for coffee, light refreshments and fellowship in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary.
Everyone is also are invited to stop in the library for a Valentine kiss (Hershey’s of course!) and a library book. Books on love and Lent are on display just waiting for you to check them out.
The Session has called for the annual congregational meeting on Sunday, January 28, 9:30 a.m. in the church dining room for the purpose of receiving the annual budget and the annual financial reports of the church; reports of the activities of its organizations; reviewing the terms of call and adequacy of compensation of the pastor; approving the terms of call; and reviewing congregational meeting minutes previously approved by the session.
See you on Sunday!
