We invite all to join us on Sunday, August 12 at 11:00 a.m. when we continue the sermon series, Wounded Healers. In this series, we are exploring how we, as persons of faith, respond to the hurt and brokenness, the loss and loneliness in life.
Worship is central to our life as a community of God’s people and we always welcome newcomers.
Our worship style is traditional, but always contemporary in spirit, friendly, relaxed, and graciously welcoming. The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s sermon and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
This week, Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon “Wounded Healers: Out of Loneliness” based on 2 Timothy 4:1-8, 16-18.
In 2 Timothy 4, Paul goes through a process of opening up his life and looking inside. Most of us go through a process of reviewing our lives. We can only hope that when we take a good look at ourselves, we are as pleased as Paul was with his life. We can only hope to see “our best,” to be able to say that we fought the best fight we could.
Please join us for fellowship and refreshments following the service in the Chalice Room, next to the Sanctuary.
