We extend a warm welcome to all to join us Sunday, October 1, for education, worship, and fellowship.

This week we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion at the  11:00 a.m. worship service and continue the sermon series Time, which explores the difference been Chronos Time and Kairos Time.

Chronos time is empty time, a void to be filled. Idle, humdrum are words that describe chronos time. Kairos time is different. It is those significant, meaningful moments or seasons that stay with you for a lifetime. Kairos is vital time, critical time, ripe time, opportune time. We all live in a chronos world, but God’s kairos kingdom is unfolding around us. We just need to see it and not miss it – it cannot be planned or forced. So where do we find or experience kairos moments?

Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon Time: Encouragement.

Without the encouragement of Barnabas, what would be different with Paul and the Christian Church? It’s hard to say, but Barnabas proves to us, that a ministry of encouragement has a profound and lasting impact. Through Barnabas’ act of encouragement, the Christian Church opened the door to Paul who was one of the most influential thinkers and doers in Christian history.

Following the service, please join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for fellowship.
