We invite all to join us on Sunday, July 1 at 11:00 a.m. as we begin a new three-part sermon series, Minor Prophets, Major Voices, which will explore the role of Micah, Zechariah and Habakkuk in our faith history.
Our services are open to all who wish to join us.
They are traditional in style with warm greetings, fine musical contributions and sermons based on scripture and how the lessons we learn apply to our lives today.
This week, Student Pastor Ben Fitzgerald-Fye will deliver the sermon Minor Prophets, Major Voices: Micah based readings from Micah 2:1-11, 4:1-5, and 7:18-20.
We call them Minor Prophets and yet their role in our faith history and in our faith lives is major. These are the voices of faithful people speaking truth to power and hope to the world. We begin our 3 week series with a look at Micah and his message of truth and of hope to a divided kingdom. Corrupt rulers, oppressive policy, and other sins are called out and we are offered a look at what is possible if we begin to act in the world according to God’s love instead of human brokenness.
Rev. Richard Cassel will preside for the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Following the service we invite all to join us in the Chalice Room, next to the Sanctuary for fellowship.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
