This Sunday, May 26, we will continue to explore what it means to show up in life.
The sermon series, “Show Up” takes on a pastoral emphasis at the intersection between life’s basics and faith’s nudging – nudging us toward abundant living, as God intends.
Join us as we consider an important question about living life: Did I show up or did I put it off?
This week’s reading comes from Matthew 6:25-33 and the sermon is entitled “Show Up: Seek First.”
The truth is many people trudge into each tomorrow with worry and despair. We all have our days, but living in despair without much hope is another matter. “Just give us tomorrow,” we pray. Jesus says “Do not worry.” He tells us to trust God. Despair disables, faith enables.
Rev. David J. Hanna will be preaching.
Following the service we welcome all to join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for refreshments and fellowship.
About worship at Calvary
We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style and contemporary in spirit, friendly and graciously welcoming, relaxed and engaging. The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s talk and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
