Contrary to one pastor’s humorous comment, the per capita offering is not a “God tax.” It may seem like it, since we call it an “assessment.” But look at the literal meaning – “by head.” That’s your head and my head! The amount for 2023 is $36.00 for each confirmed member (or $72.00 per couple, etc.).
Remitting the $36.00 per capita supports our Presbytery, Synod and connectional national church. The General Assembly reminds us that it is another way we work toward building a beloved community. Be sure to note “per capita” on your check or correspondence. Thank you!
Please check the table in the Dining Room today and take your Offering envelope packet and Per Capita envelope home with you. They are arranged in alphabetical order. If you do not have a packet, please sign up or call the church office, (724) 463-9197 to request envelopes.
