Children Age K-5th
The Christian Education Committee has continued a Sunday morning Zoom class for children K-5th grade using a wonderful and FREE resource from Illustrated Ministry. Children are encouraged to work on the lesson at home and bring their discoveries to our time together on screen.
Youth Grades 6 – 12
Youth are receiving via snail mail a weekly devotional resource that also includes some puzzles and/or links to online material that relates to the devotional. In addition, they have been invited to attend a “What’s for brunch?” zoom meeting that we hope will continue at least once or twice a month during our isolation. During “What’s for brunch?”, one adult or youth demonstrates how to make a favorite recipe from their home kitchen, gives their evaluation of it and shares some sort of inspirational message, reading, music or video.
A Family Bingo! night was held Sunday, May 3rd during which all youth, children, and their parents were invited to make or bring their own bingo cards and play to win a gift card they can use to support their favorite eating establishment.
Adult Christian Education
A weekly Wired Word discussion continues for adults each Sunday via Zoom. We have a “no video” policy for this class so that anyone attending can feel free to come in their pjs and morning hair. This has become a lovely source of connection and support during a time of personal, communal, and global unraveling.
