Ninety percent of people think discussing end-of-life wishes with their loved ones is essential. Still, only 27 percent have done so, according to a 2021 study published in the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services. It would be best if you talked about it. You need to be prepared for the sake of your loved ones.
To talk about and plan your end-of-life care, you’ll want to mark your calendar for these events at Calvary:
- Saturday, March 25, 3:00-5:00 p.m. – “Hello-Let’s Talk” is an easy, non- threatening way to start a conversation with your family and friends about what matters most to you and in your end-of-life care. Bring your family and friends.
- Sunday, March 26, 12:30-3:00 p.m. – “For Love’s Sake” is a time to learn about end-of-life care, to receive resources to review with family and friends, and to review all the vital documents to prepare for life-changing situations. Preparing for your final days is hard, but it’s a priceless gift to caregivers and loved ones. A light lunch is included.
These sessions are different, so both are recommended but not required.
The Board of Deacons is sponsoring these events.
The deadline for registration is Monday, March 13, 2023
