Sunday, August 18 All day
Are you unable to read standard-size print because of visual limitations? Is your sight compromised by glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts or other illnesses? Are you legally blind? Then you or someone in your circle of family or friends who have any of these problems are eligible to receive free services from the Carnegie Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped.
Our own Calvary library has applications to apply for services, and our volunteer librarian Karen Ross is approved to sign your application as the “certified authority”. The Carnegie library will send you, free of charge, large print books or a book reader with audio books and or magazines. The United States Postal Service will deliver and return materials for free. Our Calvary library has a sample reader and audio books if you would like Karen to demonstrate the process to you and help you with the application to receive these materials. Karen can meet you in library before or after church or any other time that is mutually agreeable. You can reach her at 724-422-7474 or firstname.lastname@example.org. She can answer your questions and help you with your application.
