Worship Service – Reformation and Anniversary Sunday including Sacrament of Holy Communion

Sunday, October 27 @ 11:00 am 12:00 pm

It is fitting on Reformation Sunday that we celebrate our church’s anniversary.  Founded in 1807 as the First Presbyterian Church, the congregation now worships in its third building on this site. Its name was changed to Calvary in 1958.

Calvary Historic highlights

History of the Presbyterian Church, the Reformation and the foundations of our faith.

The worship service will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion, a reading from Matthew 25:31-46 and the sermon “A Continuing Legacy.”

We continue our exploration of Matthew 25:31-46 and what it means to be a Matthew 25 Church. Being actively engaged in our community, battling racism, fighting poverty has been part of Calvary’s fabric of faith for a long time. It’s new to us, but it’s old to us as well.

Rev. David J. Hanna will be preaching.

All are welcome to join us for worship, which includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith. For more information about what to expect when visiting Calvary, please click here to learn about our worship service, childcare, parking and more.
