This Sunday, June 2, our worship service at 11:00 a.m. will include the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Join us as we consider an important question about living life: Did I show up or did I put it off?
This week’s service will include warm greetings, prayer, fine music, a children’t talk, a reading from Matthew 5:1-12 and the sermon “Show Up: Hunger and Thirst.”
Do you want God’s righteousness as much as a starving person wants food or a thirsty person wants water? A part of our call as Christian people is to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to follow the cause of Christ, to be the conscience of society, and to stand tall for social justice. Are you showing up in life?
Rev. David J. Hanna will be preaching.
Following the service we welcome all to join us in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary for refreshments and fellowship.
About worship at Calvary
We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style and contemporary in spirit, friendly and graciously welcoming, relaxed and engaging. The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s talk and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
