Our Free Outdoor Food Pantry has been installed near our School Street entrance at Calvary Presbyterian Church, 695 School St., Indiana, PA. This program is serving those with food insecurity in our community. Thank you to the Houser family and A & A Construction & Home Improvements for building and installing the food pantry for us free of charge! It’s beautiful! Donations may be brought to the church and placed in the red bin located outside of the School Street entrance. Items needed: Cereal, peanut butter, jelly, tuna fish, crackers, noodles, mac and cheese, beef stews, vegetables, fruits are some items. Hygiene products are always needed, such as soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, laundry detergent, etc.
Remember to bring in one or two things for our food pantry each week during these difficult winter months. The more people working to accomplish a task, the quicker and easier it will be completed.
Food Pantry UPDATE
This week Apollo United Presbyterian Church in Apollo shared a bounty of food with us from their current surplus. The cases of non-perishables were delivered on Saturday, December 12 and are already going out to the community. Thank you AUPC for your generosity!
We are also so pleased to have the new partnership of Zion Lutheran and Christ Episcopal Churches in this food ministry to our neighbors. Both churches have informed their members of this opportunity to give. Already we have received two gifts of food from Zion. We have placed plastic bins at both sites for their donations. Welcome to Christ Episcopal Church and Zion Lutheran Church and thank you for joining us. Together we can meet some of our neighbors’ food needs while preserving their dignity.
Thank you in advance for all donations.
