On Sunday, August 5 our worship service will begin a new sermon series and celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Loss and grief are universal. No one is immune. We all carry sorrow in our hearts. In a perpetual cycle, our hearts break and heal. There’s no wall high enough to shut the grief out. And since there’s no way to evade brokenness and grief, the question is: As persons of faith, how do we respond?
This week, Rev. David J. Hanna will deliver the sermon Wounded Healers: Why based on Philippians 4:4-9.
Let us begin our new sermon series by wrestling with the question, “Why God?” Have you ever asked that question? Why did this happen to me? Why did God allow this to happen? If you have asked these questions, you join countless others who have raised cries of agony in the face of tragic circumstances.
All are invited to join us in the Chalice Room, next to the Sanctuary for fellowship and refreshments.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
