At its core, our worship is an expression of the unity and common purpose of the church, which Jesus prayed would reflect the unity between himself and God (John 17:20-21).
Sunday we recognize both Father’s Day and Trinity Sunday as we explore our common purpose in worship including music, prayer, a reading from Acts 1:12-17; 21-26 and the sermon “Show Up: Is Calvary an ocean?”
If Jesus came to Church, would we actually let him in? If grace is water, then the church should be an ocean.
Rev. David J. Hanna will be preaching.
About Trinity Sunday
Trinity Sunday emphasizes the mystery and power of the triune God, which marks the acknowledgment that all three persons of the Trinity exist together eternally. Our Christian identity is given to us as we are baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19).
About Worship At Calvary
We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style and contemporary in spirit, friendly and graciously welcoming, relaxed and engaging. The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s talk and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
