We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style and contemporary in spirit. Worship is central to our life as a community of God’s people. Whatever else God calls us to, we are called to worship together in the promised company of Jesus Christ. As we worship together, we seek to have our faith fostered, our hope restored, our love elevated, and our discipleship developed.
About the Service
During each service, we all come together to express our faith. As you step into the Sanctuary, you’ll be warmly greeted and handed a bulletin to help you follow along with the hymns, prayers, and liturgies. We’ll also enjoy beautiful music from the pipe organ, Chancel Choir, and sometimes even the Bell Choir, Children’s, and Youth Choir. And of course, there will be a sermon that explores how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
Fellowship Time
Following worship, we invite you for coffee and fellowship in the Chalice Room next to the Sanctuary. Here, you will find an information center and members of the congregation who will welcome you and answer your questions.
Sacrament of Holy Communion
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is served monthly and at times during special services in the Christian Calendar. All who come to the table of our Lord Jesus Christ are offered the bread and cup, regardless of their age or understanding. The opportunity to eat and drink with Christ is not a right bestowed upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.
Children in Worship
Children of all ages are welcome in worship and are invited to participate in an interactive children’s talk enjoyed by all. After this Time with Young Disciples, children (preschool through kindergarten) may return to sit with their parents or are invited to go with the adult teacher to the Nursery for the remainder of the service.
Older children (kindergarten through third grade) are invited to go with the adult teacher to Children’s Worship in the East Classroom during the sermon time. After the sermon, they will return to the Sanctuary with the teacher to join their parents for the remainder of the service.
Packets containing quiet activities are available in baskets at the back of the Sanctuary. Parents with infants are welcome to use the rocking chairs in the Sanctuary or visit the Nursery.
