We meet for worship each Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
We welcome newcomers and visitors to join us for worship, which is traditional in style and contemporary in spirit, friendly and graciously welcoming, relaxed and engaging.
Worship is central to our life as a community of God’s people. Whatever else God calls us to, we are called to worship together in the promised company of Jesus Christ. Through worship, our faith is fostered, our hope restored, our love elevated, and our discipleship developed.
The service includes contributions from members and clergy alike who lead us in a weekly expression of our faith with warm greetings, fine music, a children’s talk and sermons aimed at helping us understand how the teachings of the Bible can be applied to our lives today.
It is our belief that God transforms us in worship so that we can respond to God by loving God entirely and loving others compassionately.
Sacrament of Holy Communion
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is served monthly and at times during special services in the Christian Calendar. All who come to the table of our Lord Jesus Christ are offered the bread and cup, regardless of their age or understanding. The opportunity to eat and drink with Christ is not a right bestowed upon the worthy, but a privilege given to the undeserving who come in faith, repentance, and love.
Children in Worship
Children are most welcome in worship. Children may help themselves to activity books and crayons found in a basket in the rear of the church. During the service, there is a Time for Young Disciples children’s stalk after which children may return to sit with parents or go to the Nursery. Parents with infants are welcome to use the rocking chairs at the back of the sanctuary.
Child Care
Our well-equipped nursery is staffed by a paid childcare specialist and congregation volunteers. It is also on the main floor and is open Sundays for the Christian Education, worship and fellowship hours.
Parking
The borough of Indiana provides free parking at all meters on Sundays. We also have designated handicapped parking spaces on 7th Street and a passenger drop-off location. From this location, you can enter the church on the lower level where an elevator is available for those who are unable to use the stairs.
